General Promotion Terms & Conditions

These General Promotion Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all contests, sweepstakes, giveaways, and promotional campaigns conducted by Kane County Promotions LLC (“KCP,” “Sponsor,” “we,” or “us”), unless otherwise stated in specific campaign rules.

By participating in any KCP promotion, you agree to these Terms.

1. No Purchase Necessary

Unless expressly stated otherwise, no purchase, payment, or donation is required to enter or win any KCP promotion. A purchase does not increase chances of winning or being selected.

2. Eligibility

Promotions are open to:

  • Legal residents of Illinois
  • 18 years of age or older at time of entry

KCP reserves the right to restrict eligibility for specific campaigns as disclosed in campaign-specific rules.

Employees, contractors, immediate family members, and household members of Kane County Promotions LLC and participating sponsors may be ineligible.

Void where prohibited by law.

3. Promotion Types

KCP may conduct different types of promotions:

A. Sweepstakes (Random Drawing)

If identified as a sweepstakes, winners will be selected at random from eligible entries.

B. Skill-Based Contests

If identified as a contest, winners will be selected based on judging criteria disclosed in the specific campaign announcement (e.g., creativity, originality, community spirit).

Campaign-specific details will control in the event of conflict with these general terms.

4. Entry Requirements

Entry methods will be described in each promotion’s official announcement and may include:

  • Social media engagement (follow, comment, etc.)
  • Written or video submissions
  • Website entry forms
  • Email subscription

Entries must be original and may not infringe upon the rights of any third party.

KCP reserves the right to disqualify:

  • Fraudulent entries
  • Automated/bot submissions
  • Duplicate entries beyond stated limits
  • Entries that violate platform policies

5. Prizes

Prize details, approximate retail values (ARV), and descriptions will be disclosed in each specific promotion.

Prizes:

  • Are non-transferable
  • May not be redeemed for cash
  • May be substituted by KCP with equal or greater value if necessary

Prize fulfillment may be coordinated directly with participating sponsors.

Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

6. Winner Notification & Claim

Winners will be contacted using the method associated with their entry (e.g., direct message, email).

If a selected winner:

  • Does not respond within 24 hours
  • Is found ineligible
  • Fails to comply with these Terms

KCP reserves the right to select an alternate winner.

7. Publicity Release

By entering any KCP promotion, participants grant Kane County Promotions LLC the right to use their name, likeness, submitted content, and entry materials for promotional and marketing purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

8. Sponsor & Platform Disclaimer

Kane County Promotions LLC is the sole sponsor and administrator of its promotions unless otherwise stated.

Promotions conducted on social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with those platforms.

Participants release those platforms from any liability related to the promotion.

9. Limitation of Liability

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Kane County Promotions LLC, its sponsors, partners, affiliates, and representatives from any claims arising out of participation in the promotion or acceptance/use of any prize.

KCP is not responsible for:

  • Technical failures
  • Platform outages
  • Lost, late, or misdirected entries
  • Unauthorized human intervention

10. Modification or Termination

KCP reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify any promotion if fraud, technical failures, or other factors impair the integrity of the promotion.

11. Dispute Resolution

All disputes arising under these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved individually and exclusively in the appropriate courts located in Kane County, Illinois.
